UEFA Champions league: Match preview Juventus V Barcelona

Cristiano Ronaldo will be missing out on the action of the Uefa Champions league where he could face his long time Individual rivals Lionel Messi.

Mumbai : Andrea Pirlo and Ronald Koeman to get a taste of major European club competition heavy weight fixture for the first time after being newly appointed managers for their respective clubs this summer. Juventus comes in this game with a victory in Serie A on the 5th place in the league table, where as Barcelona will be licking their wounds after a 3-1 defeat in El Classico at Home to Real Madrid and will hope to get a positive result from this fixture.

The new Managers would surely like to get better of their opponents and gain momentum for their future campaign in the competition, Lionel Messi has a record 114 goals to his name in the competition and his rival Cristiano has 124 to his name and a clash against two greats of the game will surely be missed with Cristiano ruled out due to his health and illness affected by the Corona virus, while Lionel Messi would like to put an end to his goal drought from open play.

Interestingly Barcelona have never lost against the Italian side in the competition last since April of 2018 where they lost against Roma in the Round of 16. Barca previously hammered Ferencvaros 5-1 at home in the opening fixture of the Champions league group stages but the likes of Pique and Coutinho will be missing in the fixture against Juve, Pique was sent off in the game against Ferencvaros while Philipe Coutniho has hamstring injury after the game against Real in El Classico.

Though the teams have some of their star players and Talisman missing out on the action but the fixture is a mouth watering prospect for the fans and also from a neutral point of view, Likes of Lionel Messi, P.Dybala, A.Girezman, A.Fatti will be representing their teams. We also have return of players facing their home clubs with Arthur who moved to Turin to join Juventus this summer for a fee of $75 million while M.Pjanic will also face his former club Juventus who has his allegiance to Barcelona and will be making a return to Italy for this fixture.

The live Broadcast of the Champions league in the Indian Sub Continent is provided by Sony Networks and the live kick off timing of this tie is 1.30 am of 29th October 2021.
