Barcelona's Biggest defeat in the history

HEAVEN FOR THE REDS AND AGONY FOR BARCELONA

BARCELONA OUT OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AGAIN !!!!!!!

As we did not see much of the drama and unexpected results in this seasons champions league much more was yet to come and it came with a bang. The Liverpool side utterly bullied and outplayed the Barcelona side and made them look like schoolboys playing in a Sunday league game. Such was the poor performance by the Catalan side who look to conjure upon the mistakes in the past at similarly same stages and hoped a positive results  which was certainly not achieved at the Anfield. The liverpool team started well and struck in the opening minutes of the game when Divock Origi scored after a casual play by the star barca left back Jordi Alba who gave away the back pass into path of Mane who played in the barca penalty box, though the initial attempt of Jordan Henderson was kept out by the Barca keeper Ter Stegen the spilled ball was inside the net by oncoming Origi which saw the Anfield erupt like a volacno. The atmosphere was certainly well build up for the home team which certainly played a part in the Tie.
It was then barca lost the ball and was always second to the fifty fifty chances as liverpool were more sharp and hungry for the ball then the barca players though there was a counter attack which should have been scored but instead of passing the ball into the net the barca left back Jordi Alba cut the pass back behind for Messi who lost the control of the ball and inevitably the whole game. The star Argentine man was nowhere to be found as the liverpool boys i should say were the better of barca men.
There was always something missing from this barca side after departure of the midfield maestro like Xavi and Inesta. Barcelona never seemed same without these players and so the results display heavy dip in the form and wins in the champions in near future....

HERE ARE SOME OF THE RESULTS FROM KNOCKOUT STAGES IN HISTORY OF BARCELONA IN RECENT TIMES

  • In the Quarter Finals of the Champions league 2015-16  they were knocked out by the Resurgent Athletico Madrid side (3-2) on aggregate.
  • Again in the same stage of the competition this time 3-0 against a Juventus side which saw them crash out of the UCL second time in a row in same manner.
  • More shockingly came the defeat to AS ROMA again in the Quarter finals of the competition where the lost a 3 goal advantage and could not score a single away goal.
  • This season was a mirror of the past 3 seasons as this time they again lost a 3 goal advantage and were absolutely bullied and out played by the Liverpool side losing 4-0 on night and (4-3) on aggregate.
Not only this defeat was a shocking one but a knife in the heart of the Barcelona fans throughout the globe as it has been so easy for teams to come out better against this Barcelona team which seems to have a habbit of bottling the lead and give away results. Some might say it is a curse, some might say it was bad luck, or it wasn't their night. But in reality things are not planned well and this side does not learn from the mistakes in past to make a mistake once or twice might be excused by making it a habbit one can not hide behind such excuses. Maybe Messi is not the leader Barca need and Messi is also not a solution to all their problems.
Things need to be solved in the Barca side and changes are bound to happen which may come as a sack for the Coach Ernesto Valverde. The team as well as the club as whole is responsible for such poor performances which are not tolerant at all.
