Sevilla V Real Madrid : La Liga Preview
Cloud of uncertainty looms over Real Madrid with recent performances which will surely test their resilience against the Sevilla team in La liga this weekend
The onus is on the reigning la liga champions to come out and take the game by its thread as they look for a positive result away at Sevilla after a recent dire form in the league in Spain as well as in Europe in the Champions league.
Its only the beginning of tougher times for the Los Blancos as they have the Madrid Derby coming next and with the Champions league qualification hanging on a knife edge, notably their star winger Eden Hazard is again injured and won't be available against Sevilla as well as against their City rivals Atlecti in the Madrid Derby.
Real Madrid come into this fixture with a defeat away at Shaktar in the Champions league which was a second loss against the same opposition losing both at home and away against the opposition, their la Liga season has been so far has been inconsistent with defeats at Valencia and Alaves recently which highlights that fact, The La Liga Champions has been defeated 3 times in the run of 10 games and a trip away to Sevilla will surely put the team at test and result will determine the course of Real Madrid's league campaign this season.
Sevilla too has not started their La Liga season in a strong fashion after their heroics in the Europa League last season being the Champions under the manager Julen Lopetegui, recent setback at home against Eibar stated the case that Sevilla too have their issues of their own also they lost to Chelsea in a 4-0 defeat in the Champions league, the home side will look to get back to normalcy after the defeat in the recent games while stalling Real Madrid in the process of doing so.
Under pressure manager Zidane ahead of the game when spoke to media talked about his future with the club and also the injury updates regarding team Captain Sergio Ramos and Eden Hazard, “I’ve never considered myself unsackable. You feel this way as a player and as a coach. I’ll live this experience until the final day. It’s normal for there to be criticism."
“With Sergio we won’t risk anything, just like with any other player. I don’t want a player with a minor injury to end up with a more serious one. We’ll see how he is tomorrow.”
